Uzbekistan's exports totaled $12.6 billion during the first five months of the year, according to the country's official statistics.

Services accounted for the largest share of total exports, reaching $4.6 billion. Compared with the same period last year, this figure increased by 34.9%, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kun.uz.

A significant increase was also recorded in industrial goods exports, which rose to $1.9 billion, up 18% year-on-year. Exports of manufactured goods nearly doubled, reaching $1.1 billion.

Positive growth was also observed across several other export categories. Exports of chemical products and related goods climbed to $1 billion, marking a 37.6% increase, while exports of food products and live animals also reached $1 billion, up 9.1% from a year earlier.

During the reporting period, exports of mineral fuels and lubricants increased to $660.7 million, up 10.1%, while exports of machinery and transport equipment rose by 38.2% to $536 million.

In addition, exports of non-food raw materials, excluding fuel, totaled $131.4 million, an increase of 17.1%. Exports of beverages and tobacco products reached $106.9 million, up 41.3%, while exports of animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes surged by 90.1% to $50.9 million.

At the same time, exports in the "other goods" category declined by 76.4%, totaling $1.5 billion.
