During an official visit to Rasht, a high-level Uzbek delegation led by Ambassador Fariddin Nasriyev and O`zbekipaksanoat Chairman Ikrom Sayfullayev has met with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture of Iran’s Gilan Province Saman Nazari and top business leaders from Iran’s Gilan Province to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, and tourism.
The Uzbek side presented the country’s recent economic reforms and achievements, emphasizing new opportunities for foreign investors and entrepreneurs, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Special emphasis was placed on the potential for collaboration in agriculture and silk production, with Gilan Province recognized as a major agricultural center and home to Iran’s leading sericulture research institute. Both sides agreed to promote mutual business delegations and explore sector-specific partnerships.
The visit, which began on September 21, is part of Uzbekistan’s broader strategy to deepen economic ties and industrial cooperation with key regional partners.
