Uzbek Exports Get Boost with New Trade Hub in South Korea

A new trade and logistics center aimed at promoting Uzbek exports was officially inaugurated this week in Paran, South Korea.

The facility worth $6 million and developed by Koreta Co., LTD is the result of an initiative by three young entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan’s Fergana Region-Abduvohid Kodirov, Javokhir Valiyev, and Muhammadsayd Khuzhayev, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

The opening ceremony was attended by Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Fergana Region, and Alisher Abdusalomov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to South Korea.

The center is designed to streamline the distribution of Uzbek food and textile products to South Korea and expand market access for regional goods. Speaking at the ceremony, Bozorov praised Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic reforms for empowering citizens abroad to launch international ventures. “Every major enterprise begins with a small idea,” he said, expressing confidence that such projects will evolve into globally recognized businesses.

Bozorov also commended the founders’ commitment to exploring foreign markets and promoting Uzbek-made products, stressing that knowledge, dedication, and language skills are vital to international success.

In turn, Abdusalomov noted that Koreta Co., LTD plays a pivotal role in advancing Uzbek exports, adding that the Uzbek Embassy continues to provide practical support for business initiatives launched by compatriots abroad.

The company, which has operated in South Korea for over a decade, supplies more than 1,000 regular clients, including defense sector entities, and offers a portfolio of over 1,100 product items. These include imports from Uzbekistan, Russia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands, and over 17 countries in total.

In addition to the new hub, Koreta maintains offices in Poland, a dairy production facility in Kazakhstan, and textile factories in Uzbekistan, further expanding its global operations.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic ribbon-cutting, followed by a tour of the facility, which is expected to play a central role in elevating Uzbekistan’s trade presence in East Asia.
