Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is paying an official visit to Türkiye.

The Uzbek leader was welcomed at Esenboğa Airport by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan, The Caspian Post reports via Turkish media.

During the visit, the two presidents are set to take part in the fourth meeting of the Türkiye-Uzbekistan High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, where they will hold in-depth discussions on further strengthening bilateral ties.

Following one-on-one talks and expanded negotiations between the delegations, a joint press conference is expected to conclude the high-level program.
