Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Serbia on September 7-8.
Mirziyoyev is expected to hold high-level talks in Belgrade, as well as attend a business forum bringing together government officials and business representatives from both countries, according to the Uzbek presidential press service.
The talks will focus on expanding trade, economic and investment cooperation and advancing joint projects in key sectors, including transport, engineering, light and food industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
The two sides are also expected to discuss cooperation on organized labor migration, along with expanding interregional, cultural and humanitarian ties.
“Following the talks, a substantial package of intergovernmental and interagency agreements is expected to be adopted,” the Uzbek presidential press service said.
