Uzbek, Russian Firms Eager to Partner on Advanced AI Development

Head of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Department at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies Sarvarbek Sadullaev has announced that Uzbek and Russian companies expressed strong interest in collaborating on the development and implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies.

Speaking at a press conference, Sadullaev revealed plans to form a joint working group aimed at advancing AI innovations, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

He highlighted that a recent visit by leading Russian IT firms to Uzbekistan showcased the country’s unique AI solutions, which Russian experts found highly promising and unavailable in their market.

“The Russian side proposed not only acquiring these technologies but also partnering to develop them further,” Sadullaev noted.

This cooperation aligns with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s directive earlier this July to create a national AI model and train one million digital technology specialists, reinforcing Uzbekistan’s commitment to accelerating its digital economy and enhancing technological sovereignty.
