Uzbek Workers to Get Jobs on US Farms Under New Migration Deal

Uzbekistan has secured a new pathway for its citizens to work in the US, opening opportunities in seasonal agricultural jobs on farms and ranches.

The agreement was reached following talks between Uzbek Migration Agency chief Behzod Musayev and Manuel Fick, representing USA Farm Labor. It enables Uzbek citizens to participate in the H-2A visa program, which allows foreign workers to take up temporary agricultural employment in the US, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Under the deal, workers can stay for up to 10 months-the duration of the visa-with expected monthly earnings of around $3,500. The agreement marks the first initiative of its kind for Uzbekistan, signaling a major step in expanding legal labor migration channels.
