Uzbekistan Allocates Over UZS 14T for Social Programs

Uzbekistan allocated more than UZS 14 trillion in 2025 to support its population through various social programs, the National Agency for Social Protection announced.

Of the total, UZS 4.196 trillion was spent on child benefits and financial assistance for low-income families, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Social allowances for citizens without the required work record for a pension totaled UZS 5.305 trillion, while benefits for children under 18 with disabilities amounted to UZS 2.035 trillion.

Across the country, UZS 773.6 billion was paid to legal representatives who are engaged in caring for children under the age of 18 with disabilities requiring constant care, as well as to single elderly people and persons with disabilities in need of care. In addition, UZS 496.4 billion was paid for one-time birth grants and funeral allowances.

At the same time, UZS 14.6 billion was allocated for financial assistance to individuals released from penal institutions, while a further UZS 80.6 billion was directed to other payments.
