As part of priorities outlined in the president’s address to the Oliy Majlis (the Uzbek parliament), aimed at strengthening energy security, improving the efficient use of natural resources, and ensuring stable energy supplies for the population and the economy, O‘zbekneftgaz has begun independent hydrocarbon production at the Gazli field.
The decision is being implemented under the company’s “Top 100 Days” action program, which focuses on delivering concrete and systematic results, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
In line with an order issued by O‘zbekneftgaz Chairman Abdugani Sanginov, projects previously planned for implementation with partners at 21 Gazli fields will be carried out independently using the company’s own resources and financing.
To accelerate production, the company plans to introduce modern technologies, deploy additional drilling rigs, install surface compressor stations, and procure the necessary technical and material equipment. These measures are expected to significantly boost hydrocarbon output.
The project is set to strengthen Uzbekistan’s position in the energy sector, supporting reliable energy supplies for households and key industries while reinforcing long-term national energy security.
