Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met a Chinese delegation led by Liu Haixing, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, in Tashkent on September 7.

The talks focused on expanding broad cooperation and practical interaction based on agreements reached at the highest level, according to the Uzbek president’s press service.

The two sides highlighted rising bilateral trade and investment, as well as an increasing number of joint projects and enterprises involving leading Chinese companies.

The growing business partnership has become an important element of Uzbekistan-China relations, with both countries seeking to translate high-level agreements into practical economic projects.

Particular attention during the meeting was given to strengthening interparliamentary and interparty cooperation.

Following the talks, Uzbekistan and China agreed to adopt a joint “Road Map” aimed at expanding cooperation in these areas.
