Uzbekistan, China Forge New Ties in Biomedical and Medical Equipment at Wuxi Event

A joint event organized by the Wuxi International Chamber of Commerce and Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency has recently taken place in Wuxi, spotlighting collaboration opportunities in biomedical product manufacturing and medical equipment.

During the event, Abdulla Azizov, Director of Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, highlighted Uzbekistan’s attractive investment environment, The Caspian Post reports per Uzbek media.

He detailed tax and customs incentives and emphasized the role of specialized pharmaceutical industrial zones, including the flagship Tashkent Pharma Park project, designed to foster growth in the sector.

The Chinese delegation presented cutting-edge technological solutions from leading firms, including Welkin Industry System Engineering Co., Ltd. in medical equipment manufacturing, NEST Biotechnology Co., Ltd. in biotech, Wuxi BioHermes Bio & Medical Technology Co., Ltd in diagnostic devices, Wuxi Cansonic Medical Science & Technology Co., Ltd in medical instruments, and Chison Medical Technologies Co., Ltd specializing in ultrasound diagnostic apparatus.

Key topics discussed included facilitating product registration in Uzbekistan, advancing technology transfer, and creating efficient logistics networks to support bilateral cooperation.
