The first stop was the Riga Central Market, one of Europe’s largest trading complexes, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The Uzbek representatives were introduced to state-of-the-art logistics systems, high-efficiency storage solutions, and modern food processing infrastructure. The delegation took particular interest in the market’s practices for handling vegetable and fruit storage, specialized facilities for legumes, and technologies for sorting, packaging, and supply chain management.

As part of the Riga program, a bilateral business forum is also scheduled. The event will bring together entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Latvia for direct B2B negotiations, the exchange of ideas, and discussions on joint investment opportunities and cooperation prospects across various sectors.

The second stage of the visit will continue in Vilnius, Lithuania, where a session of the Uzbek-Lithuanian Business Council is planned. Discussions will center on expanding trade and economic ties and exploring new avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries.
