Director of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency, Abdulla Azizov, has met with representatives of Berlin-Chemie, a prominent international pharmaceutical company based in Germany, to discuss opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored prospects for advancing Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry, with a particular focus on establishing local production of essential medicines to better serve the country’s healthcare needs, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.
A key outcome of the talks was a mutual agreement to expand collaboration in scientific research, innovation, and education. Berlin-Chemie expressed its willingness to organize advanced training and professional development programs for Uzbek students and specialists at its research and manufacturing facilities in Germany.
These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance local workforce capacity, familiarize Uzbek professionals with global best practices, and improve the quality of pharmaceutical education and expertise in the country.
