Uzbekistan, Hungary Discuss New Digital Cooperation Projects with 4iG

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, has met with Gellért Jászai, Chairman of the Hungarian telecommunications and IT company 4iG, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the digital sector.

During the talks, the parties examined new opportunities for partnership in digital economy development, IT outsourcing services, telecommunications infrastructure, and data center construction, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

Both sides expressed interest in accelerating collaboration as Uzbekistan positions itself as a regional technology hub.

One of the key points on the agenda was the upcoming Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference in Budapest, which is expected to introduce Uzbekistan’s rapidly developing IT sector to a broad European business audience and attract new investors.

Discussions also focused on building next-generation data centers powered by renewable energy, enhancing talent training programs, and improving tax incentives aimed at supporting high-tech investment.

Representatives of 4iG highlighted Uzbekistan’s improving business climate, efficient use of surplus energy resources, and the strategic importance of data centers for the future development of artificial intelligence technologies.

Following the meeting, both parties agreed to broaden cooperation, implement joint projects, and further promote the entry of European IT companies into Uzbekistan’s expanding digital ecosystem.
