Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov has held a productive meeting with Omar Bahram, CEO of the Uzbek-Oman Investment Company, to discuss enhancing bilateral investment cooperation, focusing on the progress of current projects and exploring opportunities for their expansion.
Both sides expressed a strong commitment to deepening collaboration across key sectors, including industry, agriculture, food processing, chemical production, energy, digital technologies, and other strategic areas, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Uzbekistan and Oman have steadily developed strong bilateral relations since establishing diplomatic ties in 1992. Both countries prioritize expanding cooperation in trade, investment, culture, and tourism. Oman has shown great interest in Uzbekistan’s strategic position in Central Asia, while Uzbekistan values Oman as a gateway to the Gulf region and beyond. Over the years, the partnership has grown with a focus on joint investment projects, particularly in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and industry. High-level visits and dialogues continue strengthening mutual understanding and open new avenues for economic collaboration.
