Uzbekistan is considering compensation for passengers affected by train delays, as authorities respond to a growing number of complaints about late services.
The proposal was put forward by the Competition Committee of Uzbekistan to the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, which is now developing a compensation model, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Under the draft plan, passengers could receive refunds depending on the length of the delay:
15% of the ticket price for delays of 15-30 minutes
25% for delays of 31-60 minutes
50% for delays of 61-120 minutes
100% for delays exceeding 121 minutes
