Uzbekistan, Orano and Itochu Explore New Horizons in Mining Cooperation

Uzbek Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade, Akram Aliyev, has held a meeting with representatives of France's Orano and Japan's Itochu to explore new opportunities for expanding cooperation in the mining sector.

During the discussions, the sides reviewed potential areas for deeper partnership and shared their vision for advancing joint initiatives, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.

The participants highlighted the positive progress of ongoing projects and emphasized their long-term importance for the industry’s future. Both companies also expressed strong interest in taking part in new promising directions and strengthening existing partnerships.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued active cooperation, maintaining high-level engagement, and jointly developing new projects aimed at expanding Uzbekistan’s mineral resource base and boosting the sector’s technological capabilities.
