During the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM-2025, representatives of Uzbekistan’s Uzcharmsanoat Association engaged in a series of productive negotiations with Russian companies, paving the way for expanded cooperation in the leather and chemical sectors.
Key topics included industrial collaboration, the supply of chemical components, advanced wool processing, and boosting exports of finished leather and footwear products to the Russian market, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
A highlight of the event was a strategic meeting with Polyplast Group, a leading Russian chemical company. The parties evaluated the needs of Uzbek manufacturers for inorganic compounds, stabilizers, and chemical reagents essential in leather production, agreeing to exchange technical data and organize trial shipments.
Discussions with Absolutbank focused on financial mechanisms to support Uzbek enterprises entering Russia. The bank pledged to provide settlement and credit services, as well as bank guarantees via entities involved in foreign economic activity to facilitate secure export transactions.
The delegation also emphasized the promising prospects for deep wool processing and the expansion of Uzbek footwear sales across Russian regions. Responding to growing consumer demand for eco-friendly and natural products, Uzbek companies expressed readiness to not only export but also engage in joint manufacturing and cooperative projects.
Uzbekistan’s active participation in INNOPROM-2025 showcased the leather and footwear industry’s technological advancement, strong export potential, and eagerness to broaden industrial partnerships with Russian firms.
