Uzbekistan’s textile industry recorded solid performance in the first eight months of 2025, with production reaching 58.5 trillion soums ($4.850 trillion), which is a 6.3 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The textile sector maintained its status as one of the country’s key industrial drivers, contributing 8.9 per cent to overall industrial output. This growth reflects the sector’s resilience and growing importance in Uzbekistan’s ongoing economic diversification efforts, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
On the export front, the industry generated approximately $1.7 billion in revenue, accounting for 7.3 per cent of the nation’s total exports during the reporting period.
