Uzbekistan's UzAuto Motors JSC has announced the expansion of its vehicle lineup, unveiling new modifications as part of its ongoing strategic program aimed at product renewal, diversification, and modernization of production facilities.
Following directives from the president of Uzbekistan during his May visit to the Khorezm region, the company is prioritizing the launch of new models and the development of the “Khorezm Auto” enterprise, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
At the upgraded facilities, UzAuto Motors will begin manufacturing an updated version of the popular Damas minivan, tailored to meet the demands of small businesses and private users. The new Damas offers a compact, fuel-efficient, and spacious design suitable for both city driving and commercial use. It features larger dimensions, improved load capacity, and enhanced comfort. The model will be available in two variants: the passenger-focused Damas Move and the cargo-passenger Damas Max.
Production of the updated Damas will run alongside the current version, providing customers with a choice between the classic model and the new iteration equipped with advanced technologies.
In addition, UzAuto Motors has completed a comprehensive upgrade of the Chevrolet Cobalt. Along with existing trims, two new versions-Cobalt Style MCM and Cobalt Midnight MCM-will soon be available, offering a broader range of options, cutting-edge technology, and improved comfort and safety features.
These new Cobalt variants were developed based on extensive feedback from owners in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and other markets where the model remains popular. Over 90 per cent of respondents requested factory-installed enhancements and modern features. Consequently, the updated Cobalt now includes 12 new options, such as a touchscreen multimedia system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, heated front seats, eco-leather upholstery, an updated dashboard, a multimedia steering wheel, and fresh interior accents.
Key technical components, including the engine, ABS, control units, airbags, security systems, and diagnostics, have also been upgraded, with more than 50 parts improved overall.
Looking ahead, UzAuto Motors is developing a facelift for the Cobalt’s exterior, with production of the new versions continuing alongside existing models. Customers will be able to select from four Cobalt trims, each offering different features and capabilities.
Pricing and launch dates for the new models will be announced soon.
