Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia Unveil New Tourism Development Roadmap for 2026–2027

Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have signed a joint action plan aimed at boosting tourism flows and expanding cooperation in the travel sector over the 2026-2027 period.

The agreement was reached during bilateral talks focused on strengthening tourism ties and creating new travel opportunities between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports via gov.uz.

The discussions covered the development of innovative tourism products, including the Umrah Plus program, as well as initiatives in summer and winter tourism, eco-tourism, camping, and hunting tourism. Special attention was given to projects in Karakalpakstan, a region known for its unique natural and cultural attractions.

The two sides also explored ways to promote Uzbekistan’s tourism potential on global markets. Among the proposals discussed were the possible opening of a national Uzbekistan pavilion at Riyadh Boulevard and the country's participation in Expo 2030 Riyadh.

Officials from both countries expressed their commitment to deepening cooperation and increasing the number of visitors traveling between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia in the coming years.
