Uzbekistan Sees Sharp Increase in Italian Tourists in First Five Months of 2025

The Uzbek National Statistics Committee has announced a significant rise in the number of Italian visitors during the first five months of 2025.

A total of 17,400 Italian nationals traveled to Uzbekistan from January through May, up 13.5 per cent or 2,100 more visitors compared to the same period last year, The Caspian Post reports, citing Uzbek media.

Tourism remains the primary reason for Italian visits, with 16,410 tourists arriving for leisure and sightseeing. Other purposes included family visits (530), business trips (400), and education (43).

This increase highlights growing interest from Italian tourists and reflects strengthening cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries.
