Uzbekistan, Sweden Share Expertise on Child Rights

During a visit to Sweden, an Uzbek delegation led by Child Rights Commissioner (Ombudsman) Surayyo Rahmanova has held talks with representatives of the Swedish Child Ombudsman.

The Swedish Child Ombudsman is an independent state body responsible for protecting the rights of all children, including reviewing legislation, issuing recommendations, and monitoring the situation of minors, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

During the meeting, both sides shared experience, discussed participation in child protection policies, and exchanged insights on projects and research conducted by the Swedish office. Special attention was given to practical approaches to safeguarding the rights of children.
