Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Strengthen Digital Cooperation During Ministerial Visit to Dushanbe

During an official visit to Dushanbe, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, has met with Khurshed Mirzo, Director of Tajikistan’s Agency of Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President, to discuss advancing digital collaboration between the two countries.

Mirzo outlined Tajikistan’s ongoing initiatives to develop its digital economy, digitize public services, establish robust data exchange systems, and enhance cybersecurity protections, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

The meeting also included presentations showcasing Tajikistan’s latest digital platforms, innovative technologies, and successful digital programs.

The discussions centered on expanding bilateral cooperation in the digital realm, focusing on joint projects and aligning the digital ecosystems of both nations. Among the key proposals were plans to integrate government information systems, implement electronic customs data exchanges, and create a secure, real-time system for cross-border information sharing.

The talks highlighted a mutual commitment to accelerating digital transformation and deepening technological ties between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
