Uzbek Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov and Tajik Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma have met in Gulistan, Sughd Region, where they voiced satisfaction with current cooperation and pledged to further strengthen their fraternal and strategic partnership.
Senior executives and key officials from both countries’ fuel and energy companies also took part in the meeting, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Discussions highlighted the dynamic and effective development of bilateral cooperation - a process driven by the leaders of the two nations, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon. The energy sector was identified as a key area of collaboration.
The ministers addressed a broad agenda, placing special emphasis on coordinating the operation of national power systems during the 2025-2026 autumn-winter season, as well as on the technical details of the “Reconnection to the Central Asian Power System Project” project.
