Uzbekistan’s National Guard sniper team has taken first place at the prestigious Otkir Tigh-2025 international sniper competition, held in the Chinese city of Ürümqi from July 12 to 20.
The competition brought together 45 elite teams from 25 countries, showcasing the best of global precision shooting, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The Uzbek team delivered exceptional results, earning high praise particularly in two of the event’s most demanding exercises:
Complex Firing Drill: The team successfully neutralized 24 targets set at varying distances from seven different shooting positions, reaching up to 1,200 meters.
Urban High-Angle Shooting: Competitors accurately hit six targets placed between 100 and 650 meters, simulating combat conditions in urban environments.
The Uzbek snipers also performed strongly in individual shooting events and extreme long-range disciplines, securing top-tier results and podium finishes.
Their outstanding performance earned the team:

10 official certificates
Valuable awards
And the prestigious Champion’s Cup, recognizing excellence in operational, technical, and tactical training.
The victory at Otkir Tigh-2025 once again underscores the exceptional training, discipline, and combat readiness of Uzbekistan’s military personnel on the international stage.
