Uzbekistan is set to launch a new automobile factory for Chinese automaker JAC Motors in the Yangi Avlod special industrial zone in Tashkent.

The project, known as JAC Motors Tashkent, worth $135 million, is expected to produce up to 30,000 vehicles annually. The first phase of construction and production is scheduled for 2026, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Exports from the new plant are projected at around $5 million, making the project a key milestone for the development of Uzbekistan’s automotive industry and a major boost for attracting foreign investment.
