The national team of Uzbekistan’s Defense Ministry has claimed first place at the ninth International “Team Spirit” competition held in Pakistan, delivering a record-breaking performance and reaffirming its elite military training standards.
The Uzbek team achieved an outstanding score of 97.3 per cent, the highest result of this year’s tournament. The competition brought together 34 teams from 19 countries, all facing an intense test of endurance, coordination, and tactical skill, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
Participants were required to complete a grueling 90-kilometer route, overcome 31 challenging obstacles, and carry out a series of practical tasks under demanding conditions. Uzbek servicemen completed the course in 33 hours and 34 minutes.
The team also set a new competition record in the casualty evacuation discipline, transporting a simulated 80-kilogram wounded person over five kilometers in just 27 minutes.
Malaysia secured second place with 82.1 per cent, while the United States finished third with 76.4 per cent. Uzbekistan’s victory marks its second consecutive triumph at the event - last year, the team topped the standings with 95 per cent, outperforming competitors from China and Bahrain.
