Armenia Names Narek Mkrtchyan as New US Ambassador

Lilit Makunts has been recalled from her post as Armenian Ambassador to the US.

The move was formalized through a presidential decree signed by Armenian President Vaagn Khachaturyan following a recommendation from Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, The Caspian Post informs via Armenian media.

Narek Mkrtchyan, the former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, has been appointed as the new Armenian Ambassador to Washington, assuming responsibility for strengthening diplomatic ties between Armenia and the US.
