Armenia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has released preliminary voting results as of 06:30 (GMT+4), with ballots from 1,296 of the country’s 2,006 polling stations counted, representing 55.95% of all votes cast.
The ruling Civil Contract party is leading the race with 50.86% of the vote, securing 414,608 ballots, The Caspian Post reports via News Armenia.
Strong Armenia is currently in second place with 23.19% (189,050 votes), while the Armenia Alliance ranks third with 9.6% (78,275 votes).
Further down the standings, Prosperous Armenia has received 4.1% of the vote, totaling 33,417 ballots, while Wings of Unity has garnered 2.3%, or 18,720 votes.
