Armenia will continue aligning its sectoral policies with the European Union and adapting its standards, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has announced.
Speaking at a joint session of the National Assembly’s standing committees, Mirzoyan outlined the next steps in relations between Yerevan and Brussels.
The minister said that efforts will focus on implementing a law adopted by the Armenian parliament in spring 2025, as well as strengthening the country's sustainable development and resilience.
“When we talk about the EU, I want to emphasize that cooperation is not limited, so to speak, to relations between Brussels and Armenia. We are also talking about separate bilateral relations with 27 member states. We have achieved significant progress in these bilateral relations and signed strategic partnership agreements with several countries,” Mirzoyan said.
He added that 2027 should be a year of implementing these partnership agreements through concrete actions and programmes, citing the Netherlands as an example.
