Armenia-Turkey Border Will Reopen for Foreign Nationals, Says Official

Ruben Rubinyan, deputy speaker of Armenia's National Assembly and special envoy for normalizing Armenian-Turkish relations, expressed to reporters that the Washington agreements are a significant event that will positively impact Armenia's region and beyond, adding that Yerevan remains optimistic.

Asked whether the matter of reopening the Armenia-Türkiye border will be discussed at his upcoming meeting with the Turkish special envoy, Rubinyan noted that the entire aforementioned process, as a whole, is aimed at this and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, The Caspian Post reports citing Armenian media.

When asked about the failure to implement the agreement to reopen the border at least for the citizens of other countries, the Armenian official was noted that this agreement remained unimplemented.
