Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan has confirmed that Armenia and the US are preparing an intergovernmental agreement to implement the ambitious “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project.
Mirzoyan said that negotiations are progressing steadily, with key milestones already achieved since the project was first announced in August, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
A major step forward came on January 14, when both sides agreed on a comprehensive framework that is now moving into the implementation phase. The next stage will involve signing a formal agreement outlining the legal mechanisms for the project.
Addressing regional concerns, Mirzoyan noted that Iran has been fully informed and has not expressed objections. “We are talking exclusively about a transport project that will create economic opportunities for Armenia, Azerbaijan, all neighboring countries, including Iran,” he stated.
