Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced that his chief adviser, Lilit Makunts, will be appointed as the head of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Pashinyan made the announcement during a briefing, where he also revealed plans to reappoint Armenia’s ministers of defense and internal affairs, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Armenia.

Makunts has served as Pashinyan’s chief adviser since August 2025. Before taking on that role, she was Armenia’s ambassador to the United States from 2021 to 2025.

The position of head of the Prime Minister’s Office is currently held by Arayik Harutyunyan.
