The Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, along with his wife Usha Vance, has landed at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport.

Before this, another government plane, accompanying him, had also landed at the capital's airport, according to Armenian media, The Caspian Post reports.

The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, arrived to greet the U.S. Vice President.

The area around the "Alexander" Hotel on Abovyan Street, where the American politician is expected to head, has been cordoned off by the police and security services.
