Nestle Recalls Limited Infant Formula Batches in Armenia

Nestle has announced a voluntary recall of a limited number of infant formula batches from the Armenian market.

The recall affects products including dry, instant, and fermented milk formulas, as well as amino acid-based therapeutic dry formulas, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

The move is a precautionary measure and part of a global recall prompted by stricter quality control checks of raw materials supplied by an external provider and the detection of cereulide toxin in those materials.

Although the detected toxin content is minimal and Armenia has no official standards for cereulide toxin, Nestle, together with its partners, initiated the recall to minimize potential risks. Consumers who purchased affected products can return them through Nestle-approved channels.

The recall does not affect other batches or any other Nestle baby food products sold in Armenia.
