Armenia's U-17 Greco-Roman Wrestling Team Arrives in Azerbaijan for World Championships

Armenia's national U-17 Greco-Roman wrestling team has arrived in Azerbaijan's capital Baku to compete at the 2026 U-17 Wrestling World Championships, marking the start of its preparations for one of the year's biggest youth wrestling events.

The team has already begun training ahead of the tournament, The Caspian Post reports via Sputnik Azerbaijan.

The U-17 Wrestling World Championships will take place in Baku from July 27 to August 2, bringing together hundreds of young athletes from countries around the world to compete for world titles.

The freestyle wrestling competition is scheduled to begin on July 31, following the opening days of the Greco-Roman tournament.
