Officials from the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment have held a high-level meeting to explore avenues for deeper economic cooperation on the sidelines of the sixth Business Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in the historic city of Shusha.
AZPROMO’s Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev used the opportunity to highlight Karabakh’s ancient history and rich cultural heritage, while also detailing AZPROMO’s mission and strategic initiatives aimed at attracting foreign investment and promoting exports, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Chairman of the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment Tawakal Ahmadyar welcomed the chance to visit Shusha and expressed Afghanistan’s keen interest in increasing investments in Azerbaijan’s economy. He praised the hospitality and emphasized the growing potential for collaboration between the two nations.
The discussions centered on ways to strengthen existing economic ties, evaluate potential investment partnerships, and define concrete steps toward long-term cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.
