Azerbaijan and Mexico have signed a new memorandum of understanding aimed at expanding cooperation in diaspora affairs and strengthening support for citizens living abroad.
The agreement was signed between the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora of Azerbaijan and Mexican Foreign Ministry through the Institute for Mexicans Abroad during the working visit of committee chairman Fuad Muradov to Mexico, where he met with institute head Tatiana Clouthier Carrillo, The Caspian Post reports via local media.
The memorandum focuses on increasing support for Azerbaijani and Mexican communities overseas, protecting their rights and interests, and creating new mechanisms for cooperation in multiple areas.
Officials said the deal also includes regular consultations, wider information and experience exchange, as well as joint projects and training programs. The agreement is expected to strengthen institutional ties and pave the way for larger future initiatives between Azerbaijan and Mexico.
