Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a law ratifying the “Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters” between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China.
The treaty, which was signed in Beijing on April 23, 2025, lays the groundwork for closer judicial cooperation between the two nations in handling criminal investigations and prosecutions, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.
It outlines mechanisms for the exchange of legal information, assistance in gathering evidence, extradition procedures, and other forms of legal collaboration in criminal matters.
