Azerbaijan’s ASAN Service model will be introduced in the Dominican Republic, marking the 53rd country to adopt the Azerbaijani public service model.

Azerbaijani delegation led by State Agency Chairman Ulvi Mehdiyev is visiting Santo Domingo, where it held talks with José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic, according to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan.

The Dominican side expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties and said that exchanging experience on the ASAN Service model could make an important contribution to cooperation between the two countries.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation also met with Dominican Minister of Public Administration Sigmund Freund. The talks resulted in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement provides for the introduction of the ASAN Service model in the Dominican Republic, training programs for Dominican civil servants conducted by Azerbaijani specialists, and the development of relevant standards in the field.

The agreement is the first concluded with a Caribbean country as part of Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote and export the ASAN Service model internationally.

With the latest agreement, the Dominican Republic becomes the 53rd country where the Azerbaijani public service model is set to be introduced.
