Azerbaijan, Germany Seek to Deepen Economic Cooperation

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Economy Minister Samad Bashirli met with Gerlind Heckmann, Director for the Promotion and Financing of Foreign Trade and Investment for Ukraine, Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia at Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

During the meeting, the sides highlighted the considerable potential for expanding economic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.

Both parties stressed the importance of diversifying bilateral ties, strengthening cooperation and developing new joint projects.

Discussions covered energy partnerships, industrial and technological cooperation, coordination of ongoing initiatives, and upcoming meetings of the Azerbaijan-Germany Business Council and the German-Azerbaijani High-Level Working Group on Trade and Investment.
