International cyclists are set to ride from Baku to Khankendi on May 10 as Azerbaijan launches the five-stage international “Baku-Khankendi” cycling race.
The prestigious UCI 2.1 category competition will run until May 14 and bring together 24 teams from 20 countries. The total prize fund exceeds €50,000, The Caspian Post reports via Report.
The opening stage will begin in the Sea Breeze Resort area, with riders passing through key landmarks of Baku before finishing in Sumgayit. The first stage will cover 158.7 kilometers.
The race route spans several major regions and cities across Azerbaijan:

Stage I: Sea Breeze - Baku - Sumgayit (158.7 km)
May 11
Stage II: Baku - Shamakhi - Ismayilli (193.2 km)
May 12
Stage III: Gabala - Oghuz - Sheki - Mingachevir (163.3 km)
May 13
Stage IV: Ganja - Goygol - Goranboy - Sugovushan - Talysh - Naftalan (152.7 km)
May 14
Stage V: Tartar - Aghdam - Fuzuli - Shusha - Khankendi (181.3 km)
