The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026) has opened in Baku, bringing together major investors, business leaders and representatives of state and international financial institutions.

The forum is being held on September 25-26 under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev. It is organized by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO).

This year’s forum is focused on “Restoring Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability.”

Discussions will cover a wide range of sectors, including the Middle Corridor, energy and the green transition, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, infrastructure, industry and free economic zones, critical raw materials, agribusiness, financial cooperation, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), tourism, real estate and human capital development.

A number of agreements are also expected to be signed during the forum in such areas as industry, finance, construction, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, agriculture, water resources and sports.

The inaugural Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, held in September 2025, brought together more than 1,000 participants. Investment agreements worth more than $10 billion were signed, with over $7 billion directed to the non-oil sector.

President Ilham Aliyev also sent an address to participants of AIIF 2026. The address was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Samir Sharifov.
