A total of 29 families, comprising 105 individuals, have been resettled in Vangli village in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara district and received the keys to their newly constructed homes.
The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Special Representative Office of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, as well as representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), The Caspian Post reports via local media.
Since the end of the Karabakh conflict, Azerbaijan has been implementing large-scale resettlement and reconstruction programs in territories regained during the war.
The government’s resettlement initiatives aim to rebuild infrastructure, restore housing, and provide essential services for returning citizens. Modern residential complexes, schools, hospitals, roads, and utilities are being constructed to ensure a safe and sustainable living environment. The programs are part of a broader strategy to revive economic activity, strengthen social cohesion, and restore normal life in the liberated territories.
