Azerbaijan Narrows Gap with Ukraine After Qarabağ’s Champions League Victory

Azerbaijan has edged closer to Ukraine in the UEFA country rankings following Qarabağ’s 3-1 triumph over Ferencváros in Hungary during the first leg of the UEFA Champions League playoff round.

The victory added 0.250 coefficient points to Azerbaijan’s total, raising it to 19.500, The Caspian Post informs via local media.

This moves the country to 28th place, just behind Ukraine (19.725) and ahead of Bulgaria (18.375). While Ukraine and Bulgaria still have three clubs each competing in European tournaments, Azerbaijan has one remaining representative.

England continues topping the UEFA rankings with 94.839 points, maintaining its lead in European football standings.
