Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on Thursday held a meeting with a delegation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
The delegation included the permanent representatives of Türkiye, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Spain to NATO, as well as the deputy permanent representatives of the United States and France to NATO, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
The discussions focused on the topical aspects of the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation agenda, regional and international security issues, and the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Minister Bayramov briefed the NATO delegation on the history of the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, the post-conflict security situation in the region, the agreements reached during the Washington Summit, peace prospects, plans for regional transport corridors, and the existing regional landmine threat.
The meeting also addressed other issues of mutual interest.
