Azerbaijan Participates in Organization of Turkic States Customs Chiefs’ Summit in Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan has taken part in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Customs Chiefs’ Summit, held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan.

The 11th Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) brought together senior officials and representatives from the customs administrations of member and observer states, as well as Georgia, The Caspian Post reports via local media.

At the opening, Zhandos Duysembiev, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance, highlighted the symbolic significance of hosting the meeting in Turkistan, calling the city the spiritual heart of the Turkic world and a representation of unity and mutual understanding among fraternal nations.

He emphasized that the gathering underscores the shared commitment to enhancing cooperation among the participating countries.

Duysembiev noted that economic and trade collaboration within the OTS has grown steadily in recent years, fueled by advanced digital solutions, simplified customs procedures, and strengthened trust among member states.

The meeting concluded with the signing of three key agreements. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and strengthening fraternal ties, stressing that joint efforts will contribute to building a modern, open, and innovative customs system across the Turkic world.
