Azerbaijan’s Victory Day Marked in UAE

An event marking 8 November - Victory Day of Azerbaijan, co-organized by the Azerbaijani Embassy in the country and the Azerbaijani Consulate General in Dubai.

According to the embassy, the event gathered representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited to Dubai, members of the UAE National Federal Council, and the leadership of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, members of the ruling families of the Emirates of Dubai and Abu-Dhabi, as well as Azerbaijanis studying and residing in UAE, and media representatives, The Caspian Post reports.

Addressing the event, Azerbaijani Ambassador to the UAE Elchin Baghirov, highlighted the history of the 44-day Patriotic War resulting in the capitulation of the Armenian armed forces.

Javid Huseynov, Azerbaijani Consulate General in Dubai, briefed the participants on the ongoing large-scale restoration efforts in the Garabagh and East Zangezur regions, the Great Return program, and the progress on the opening of the Zangezur corridor, linking the Azerbaijan’s mainland with Nakhchivan.

The event proceeded with the concert program.
