Azerbaijan expects natural gas production to reach 16.3 billion cubic metres in 2027, an increase of 239.2 million cubic metres, or 1.5%, compared with the 2026 forecast.

These figures are included in the 2027 budget package, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The document also projects a rise in diesel fuel production by 115,400 tons, or 5%.

At the same time, an increase in turnover subject to value-added tax (VAT) will lead to additional tax liabilities.
